A Little About Mrs. Mills...
My name is Teri Mills. I have been a teacher at CGMS for 14 years, and have taught for 16. I am originally from Indiana, but I have lived here in North Carolina for 16 years. I am a southern girl at heart as I love my sweet tea, southern cooking, and have an accent true to our region! From my early elementary school years, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I was inspired by teachers who created a caring environment for their students and were driven by the power that students are the focus in a classroom. My husband, Adrian, is a teacher at CGMS as well. We have been married for 10 years and have a beautiful eight year old daughter, Ellie. She is a competitive cheerleader, so between school, Mr. Mills's schedule, and Ellie's cheer schedule, I stay pretty busy!
Throughout the year, we will use a variety of technology resources to create a classroom environment focused on student learning and success. We are a 1:1 district, so use of iPads will be incorporated in the classroom through Schoology, using this website, and other resources to get students interacting with one another.
We are also going to PLAY a lot this year! I have recently done some great training through Institute of Play to learn game like strategies with learning goals in mind. We will play several games throughout each quarter with different learning goals and game objectives.
I hope you are looking forward to this year as much as I am!

I do not follow students on Facebook, though some parents have reached out to me via this medium for school promoted events/groups (BETA, Boosters, PTA, etc.). If you have questions, please let me know.
